Liptovská Mara dam is situated between the towns of Liptovský Mikuláš and Ružomberok It is a perfect place for fishing and doing water sports (swimming, boating, surfing, water scooter rides…).
You have also a possibility to go on a cruise from the quay in the village of Liptovský Trnovec. Above the dam wall, about 2 km from the village of Bobrovník, is situated the unique archeological open – air museum Havránok. It demonstrates the presence of Celts in this region and it is worth seeing.
